Duck Dash

Join us for live music, food, fair games, science activities, relay races, and Charlestown’s first ever race of the duckies!

We need volunteers (18+) who can man a fair game, an activity table, or help the ducks float inside the race path to generate excitement for families throughout the day as we prepare for the launching of the ducks at 1pm. The event is from 11am to 3pm. We are asking all volunteers to come an hour early at 10am to help set up.

We need all day volunteers; however, we have an early shift from 10-1:30pm and a later shift at 12:30-4pm.

Some Activity Tables/Fair Games we have:
- Kick n Score
- Giant Jenga
- Crabtrapping by the Waterfront
- Ticket booth (for people to buy tickets to play games)
- Limbo
- DIY kites with recycled materials
- Cornhole

Interested?? Email me at thi.tran@einc-action.org or call the office line at 617-242-4700. Looking forward to working with you!

**All proceeds of the Duck Dash directly supports the "e" inc. Environment Science Discovery and Action Museum’s next exhibit: "Our Home."**

About "e" inc.

Location:

Mission Statement

"e" inc.’s mission is to ensure that every young person in the Commonwealth becomes a confident, science-skilled, conservation citizen who uses science to understand and also protect the planet. We accomplish this through programs that pair the in-depth hands-on science of how all aspects of the planet 'works' with youth-led activities that allow young people to make a difference. We target our work to low-income children, teens, families, and the institutions serving them.

Description

"e" inc. is a non-profit, that started in 2002, located in Boston, MA, committed to joining science literacy and civic engagement as the 2 pillars necessary for creating citizen conservationists. We engage urban children and teens in three area cities in 'science education and making a difference’ through a combination of in-school, after-school, and summer programs. At every location, teams of children receive 7-11 critical science lessons paired with an action program of short and long-term projects created by our kids using the science concept studied for the benefit of planet. We also run a popular environment film festival once a year.
