The Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's(r) is the world's largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer's care, support and research. Held annually in more than 600 communities nationwide and 9 locations in our region, this inspiring event calls on people of all ages and abilities to reclaim the future for millions.
Walk to End Alzheimer's is a fundraising event. We'd love for volunteers to register as a participant at act.alz.org/heartofalabama.
Larger groups can work with your volunteer coordinator on a plan to wear your organization shirts.
Volunteer on Walk Day
Day of event volunteers can expect to walk a lot, be in the sun or the cold (as our events are rain or shine), and lift heavy objects. Please be sure that you are physically capable to handle the tasks. But also have fun while joining in on the fight to end Alzheimer's.
