ASTC (Association of Science & Technology Centers) Volunteer Opportunity
For those who may not know the annual ASTC (Association of Science & Technology Centers) Conference will be coming to San Jose this October (2017) and The Tech is the host museum! As a result we are seeking your assistance to help us with this conference. This event will take place mostly in the Convention Center (but also at The Tech and SJ Airport) from Thursday, October 19 th through Tuesday, October 24 th. We have created an online volunteer registration system (similar to the one used for The Tech Challenge). Please use this system to sign-up by clicking on the link and follow the instructions below (to choose the role and day that works best for you).

Instructions for online ASTC volunteer registration
- Click "New Volunteers Register"
- Enter your email address, name and organization. You will then be returned to the initial registration page.
- Enter your email address under "Volunteer Login" and click "Sign In".
- Click the arrow next to "Show Details" to see positions available on the days that interest you.
- Click the position that best fits your availability.
- Once you have signed up you can also edit/change your days by clicking on the link and entering your email address.
ASTC Volunteer Benefits
- A free ASTC Volunteer T-Shirt to wear on the day(s) you volunteer and keep as a souvenir.
- Free refreshments on the day(s) you volunteer.
- Free attendance at any available workshop/session on the day(s) you volunteer.
- Free admission to the Exhibit Hall on the day(s) you volunteer.
You can also spread the word to family members and friends as this is the perfect opportunity for a one or two day volunteering experience. Please note: volunteers must be at least 18 years of age to register.

Description
The Tech Interactive is a world class science and technology center in the heart of the Silicon Valley that welcomes over 250,000 visitors a year. Visitors are encouraged to explore the 130,000 square feet of hands-on activities, exploratory labs and design challenge experiences as well as interactive exhibits on climate change, robotics, innovations in healthcare, cybersecurity and more. The center is also home to the largest IMAX Dome Theater on the West Coast, offering educational films and the occasional Hollywood blockbuster.
