Join our team of enthusiastic educators, and share your passion for all things maritime! As a docent at the Museum, you will have the unique opportunity to be both teacher and student.
Our monthly docent training program features a variety of esteemed guest speakers and provides you with a broad understanding of both local maritime history and our museum's collections. Trainings are 60 minutes long on Wednesday mornings, once a month, and coofee and donuts are always provided.
Docents go on to help youth through group tours of the museum, Science Night events at local schools, the Harbor and Seafood Festival and the Tall Ship Education Program in October.
Please RSVP to Jennifer Haake at (805) 962-8404 ext. 110 or email at guestservices@sbmm.org.
