Lenox Hill Neighborhood House, widely recognized as one of New York's premiere human services providers, is a 123-year old settlement house that provides an extensive array of effective and integrated services on Manhattan's East Side. Our CARE program is an arts-based program for older adults with dementia. The program provides a caring and engaging environment that allows participants to be involved in group and individualized activities, while providing a respite for family caregivers. We are seeking musicians to provide a weekly hour of musical entertainment to group members. The program has an in-house keyboard and all other instruments are welcome. The music hour takes place 1:00-2:00 on weekdays. The volunteer time commitment involves providing music on one of these days every week.

Our clients include older adults, homeless and formerly homeless adults, children and families, recent immigrants, disabled persons, adult learners and thousands more. Description
Lenox Hill Neighborhood House was founded in 1894 by the Alumnae Association of Normal College (now known as Hunter College of the City University of New York) as a free kindergarten for the children of indigent immigrants. Since then, we have remained at the forefront of community advocacy and social and educational change.
