ORGANIZATION: The Arc of Plymouth and Upper Cape Cod

According to the Department of Developmental Services regulations, service provider agencies, such as The Arc of Greater Plymouth, shall have a Human Rights Committee that meets at least quarterly to review and discuss the agency's efforts to affirm, promote and protect the human rights of each individual it supports.

The Arc of Greater Plymouth is looking for an Attorney, Law Student, or Paralegal (with relevant expertise) to volunteer on our Human Rights Committee. The commitment would be at least quarterly, for roughly two hours at a time. We are fortunate to have a committed group of volunteers who are passionate about advocating for the human rights of those we support and would be grateful to have you on board!

The Arc of Plymouth and Upper Cape Cod is a nonprofit agency founded in 1966, that provides services and supports to over 550 individuals with developmental disabilities and their families in Southeastern Massachusetts. Our mission is to support people to live where they choose, with whom they choose, for as long as they wish with the ongoing supports needed to sustain that choice. We understand that as people who grow and change their support needs may change as well. Our supports offer as much choice and control as possible to accommodate people's changing needs and preferences. Our mission is to provide individualized supports, programs, and services to assist individuals to thrive at home, at work, and in their communities.
