Mission Statement
Our Mission is to teach the importance of using God’s gifts in our everyday lives in predominantly nature-rich environments. It is the foundation of everything we do.
Description
We focus on providing access to fresh local produce to all, but in food desert areas in particular. We offer cooking classes, nutrition education, with local health departments and governmental agencies to reduce barriers to fresh local food access.
We maintain some 80 raised squre foot garden beds in the South Village of Peoria and utilize a Mobile Fresh Food Van to increase access. We service Peoria, Tazewell and Woodford Counties here in Central Illinois. We are always looking to improve processes, build relationships and search for better ways of doing.
Relationships, partnerships and volunteers are at the heart of who we are.
