The MS Society will be holding its annual 2 day cycling fundraiser, Waves to Wine, the weekend of September 23-24, 2017. Your participation will drive MS research forward faster, and deliver services to those who face the challenges of MS every day so they can live their best lives. There is no cure for MS.
Volunteering at a rest stop is a fun way to interact with the riders, hang with old or new friends and give back to the community. To manage a rest stop, you will set up a couple of pop up tents, tables and chairs. You will mix sports drink, have snacks and count the number of riders as they come into your stop. You will work along side a bike mechanic, medical volunteer and HAM radio operator.

Mission Statement
The mission of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society is to end the devastating effects of MS.
Description
Founded in 1946, the National Multiple Sclerosis Society supports more MS research, offers more services for people with MS, provides more professional education programs, and furthers more MS advocacy efforts than any other MS organization in the world.
We do this through the extensive research we support to find the cause, cure and improved treatments of the disease; the comprehensive services we provide to people with MS and their families; the professional education programs we offer to assist health care providers better serve their MS patients; and through our advocacy efforts on state and federal levels to encourage public policies supportive of the needs of people with multiple sclerosis. This is why we at the National Multiple Sclerosis Society are here.
Volunteers are vital to the work of the National MS Society. We welcome volunteers with a wide range of talents and skills. There is only one requirement: to want to do something about MS NOW. Your valuable skills and fresh perspectives will make the Society a stronger and better organization. There are so many ways to contribute, whether through advocacy, programs, fund-raising or special projects. We can always use your help.
