Hello volunteers! Hospice Sanctuary has a program for volunteers to learn about and get to know the patients they communicate with, which we call Life Stories. It is a fill-in story with questions for volunteers to ask patients to get to know them, it is used as an ice breaker when meeting, as a way to know more about the patient, for cognition for dementia patients, as well as, for families when the book is complete.
Sometimes it can be completed within one visit or a few, but sometimes it leads into long drawn out conversations about everything the patient remembers from their lives, and with that come life lessons the patient can pass onto the volunteer.

- Dignity Health Hospice is seeking positive thinking individuals of Integrity and Commitment to serve those with a Life Limiting Illness
- Volunteers give the gift of their time and themselves
- Hospice patients need volunteers to visit in their home, wherever that may be
- Volunteers read and write letters, visit with patients, participate in crafts, board games and cards
- Dignity Health Hospice serves all of the Maricopa County Community
