Summary of Responsibilities for 2017 Lead Holiday Volunteer - Fall Semester 2017 (October-December)

Program Goals: We are looking to have 2 lead volunteers help manage sales at the Yawkey Center for Cancer Care in November and December. Sales happen daily from 10:00AM-2:00PM beginning on November 1 st. This is an important revenue generating piece of the entire program that needs some more attention. There are 2 tables of merchandise (think pop-up shops), in 2 different areas of the Institute, that are staffed and sell products daily from 10-2.

Each of the 2 lead volunteers would have the same responsibilities, just on different days.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain clean, organized look of all three sales stations
• Work with Assistant Director to manage sales of holiday merchandise at the Yawkey Center for Cancer Care
• Manage and report twice a week on product inventory levels (including gift tissue/bags and brochures)
• Place orders with warehouse ahead of demand so items are never out of stock
• Transport ipads to/from Development Office to Yawkey Center daily
• Help volunteer of the day set up merchandise to sell
• Sell with the volunteer from 10:00AM-2:00PM - sometimes this involves trouble shooting with credit card payments, replenishing inventory - requires a high level of customer service
• Help volunteer of the day break down each sales station and put things away
• Return to Development office daily with ipads, money and tally sheets
