Meeting the spiritual needs of patients is very important to supporting their overall care.
Pastoral Care Visitor volunteers:
- Visit Christian inpatients to provide friendly visitation and prayer
- Round on nursing units to patients who have identified themselves as Christian (any denomination)
- Respond to requests from nurses for non-emergent pastoral care visits
Any lay person may fulfill this role. A short training session is required.
