The Pharmacist is the final point of contact the patient has with the dispensary and generally with the clinic process. The pharmacist labels prescriptions, does the final safety/quality check and counsels the patient on any information pertaining to the medication(s) that the patient needs to know (ie: dose, contraindications, etc.) NOTE: The Free Clinic does not provide medications for mental health conditions, reproductive health, or controlled substances.

SCHEDULE Monday | Wednesday | Friday *Morning Clinics* 9:15am‐12pm Tuesday | Thursday *Evening Clinics* 7:00pm‐9:30pm

TRAINING PROVIDED New pharmacists will have the option to shadow an existing pharmacist to receive hands on training. Written Guidelines for this position are provided on the next page.

REQUESTED COMMITMENT
In the interests of sustainability and continuity, we ask our primary volunteers (those who staff the ongoing clinics) to make a general commitment of one volunteer shift per month, for one year. Busy professionals, who have challenging schedules, sometimes commit to one shift per quarter (4 times per year).

QUALIFICATIONS
 Pharm D, RPH, and pharmacy experience required.  Enthusiasm for helping the underserved.  Detail‐oriented and capable of focusing in a busy clinic environment.

Description

The Free Clinic of Southwest Washington is a free medical clinic offering basic medical care to low-income, uninsured patients through our Urgent Care Clinics, M-W-F 8:30am-12:00 and T/Th 5:30pm-9:30pm. Health Screening Clinics (blood pressure, glucose, and cholesterol) are offered on Friday mornings. Immunization Clinics are provided on the first and third Wednesday evenings 5:30pm-7:30pm of every month. Our vision clinics are Monday evenings by wait list and by appointment only and dental services are offered at varied times by wait list and by appointment only through the mobile Free Clinic Dental Van.
