P.S. ARTS serves school districts all over the greater L.A. area and in Central California. Districts include Santa Monica-Malibu, LAUSD, Lawndale, Lynwood, El Segundo, Inglewood, Compton, and more!

Volunteers can choose from a wide variety of volunteer opportunities to partake in, including: help set up, run, and clean up Family Art Nights; serve as an in-class volunteer for a school classroom; help our students during their lunch period for the student art club; volunteer at school performances and art showcases; assist in supply prepping; and help lead projects for community events.

We can find volunteer opportunities that work with your schedule!

Our volunteers are also invited to partake in exclusive ARTS EDUCATION events throughout the year including museum visits, guest artist speakers, and art mixers.

No previous experience with art required.

About P.S. ARTS

Location:

6701 Center Dr. W, #550, Los Angeles, CA 90045, US

Mission Statement

P.S. ARTS’ mission is to improve the lives of children by providing arts education to underserved public schools and communities.

Description

P.S. ARTS is the only organization in Southern and Central California that provides yearlong arts education in dance, visual arts, music, and theater arts to every child in a school during the regular school day. Without our programs, children in these underfunded school districts would not have access to the arts. P.S. ARTS also coordinates with school administrators and parent groups to provide community outreach services designed to increase community members’ capacity to advocate for educational equity and to provide critical cultural experiences for the entire family. P.S. ARTS arts programs help to level the educational playing field by teaching creative and cognitive skills to students struggling to overcome economic, ability, or literacy barriers that will better equip them to be competitive and successful people.
