Gain Hands-on experience installing solar!
This group of volunteers kicked off the solar installation for the affordable housing complex in Maryland.

GRID Alternatives installs solar for families in need, helping individuals save money while reducing greenhouse gas emissions. Volunteers help us with our installation, learning side-by-side with our qualified staff how to install solar!

Help us make this possible for tenants in Capitol Heights, Maryland, and join GRID for our largest solar event of the year! Solarthon is a solar installation block party and fundraiser, where volunteers come together to install solar for a community that needs it most. Solarthon brings together people from all walks of life - individual fundraisers, corporate sponsors, community leaders and the tenants themselves - to install a solar electric system. The solar PV system installed will benefit low-income tenants living in an affordable housing complex in Capitol Heights, Maryland.

Help pay for the system and reserve a volunteer spot for the day - participants must donate or fundraise a minimum of $250 to secure a spot on the roof!

First 15 to donate or fundraise $250 receives a spot on the roof!
