Whlie the day to day duties may differ by assignment, the overall strategic role is to assist with purpose and commitment in helping St. Joseph the Worker run effectively and efficiently as an organization. Teh Engagement Specialist may be the first point of contact between St. Joseph the Worker and the public and as such should remain professional and have strong customer service.
Greet clients and visitors, accurately describe the services of St. Joseph the Worker, and answer related inquiries, and direct individuals to appropriate services.
Acclimate new clients to enrollment process by ensuring accurate completion of forms and updating and updating client files.
Assist job-seeking clients with computer, email, filling out on-line applications, and improving their computer skills.
Perform clerical duties
Assist clients with creating an editing resumes, cover letters, email, conducting employment searches, and preparing for interviews as needed.
Ensure consistent, effective communication of assignment status to Volunteer Supervisor.
