GED tutors walk alongside clients in areas of math, science, social studies, and/or language arts as they work towards obtaining their diploma. The GED class meets on Tuesday nights and is led by professional teachers. After a time of group learning, students break into small groups for more individualized attention from tutors. Some students may meet one-on-one with a tutor to work on a specific area.
Tutors do not need professional teaching experience, but must have graduated high school and either have or be working towards a college degree.
