KYRS-Thin Air Community Radio is looking for an audio assistant to help program hosts set up audio and recording equipment for interviews and in-studio musical performances and to do some audio editing and post-production tasks. There would also be occasional assistance with live remote broadcasts and small music events. The candidate should be familiar with recording software concepts and comfortable using and learning audio equipment.

KYRS Thin Air Community Radio fills needs that other media do not, providing programming to diverse communities and unserved or underserved groups. Thin Air Radio provides a forum for neglected perspectives and discussions on important local, national and global issues, reflecting values of peace, social, economic and environmental justice, human rights, democracy, multiculturalism, freedom of expression and social change. Thin Air's arts, cultural, and music programming covers a wide spectrum of expression from traditional to experimental and reflects the diverse cultures Thin Air serves. Thin Air Radio strives for spontaneity and program excellence, both in content and technique.

Thin Air Community Radio is run almost entirely by volunteers from the community, people like you who have a passion for independent music and ideas. All locally produced programs are hosted by volunteers.
