The Shriners Hospitals for Children Open brings the FedExCup to Las Vegas as the PGA TOUR returns to the Las Vegas valley for the 37th consecutive year. Many of the top golfers in the world will participate in the competition and help support the mission of Shriners Hospitals for Children, from September 30th-October 6th.
Volunteers are the backbone of the support that allows the Shriners Hospitals for Children Open to be successful. In 2018, nearly 1000 volunteers gave their time, talent, and energy to support the tournament's goal of raising money and awareness for Shriners Hospitals for Children. Tournament volunteers come from the Las Vegas community and all over the world for the opportunity to be a part of such a special event and contribute to the wonderful efforts of Shriners Hospital for Children. The continued support from our volunteer shows what can be accomplished when the mission is helping children. Volunteers are needed in every aspect of the tournament from Ambassadors to Laser Reporters. Golf knowledge not required. Mission Statement
The Shriners Hospitals for Children Open is the ongoing commitment to raise awareness and money for Shriners Hospitals for Children. All proceeds from the tournament benefit Shriners Hospitals for Children and their mission to provide specialized healthcare to children up to the age of 18 with orthopaedic conditions, burns, spinal cord injuries and cleft lip and palate in a family-centered environment with no financial obligation to patients or families.
Description
The Shriners Hospitals for Children Open is the only official PGA TOUR event held in Las Vegas, Nevada. This week long event includes a four-day PGA TOUR Professional tournament, a Championship Pro-Am, Women's Day Seminar, and many other special events dedicated to the Shriners Hospitals. More tham 1000 volunteers from the Las Vegas community and all over the world contribute their time, talent and energy to make this event truly memorable. Set between the Red Rock Mountains and the famous Las Vegas skyline, TPC Summerlin provides a magnificent setting for one of the PGA TOUR's most unique events. Fans attending the Shriners Hospitals for Children Open can expect a golf entertainment experience that only Las Vegas can provide. The week-long tournament features celebrities from the world of sports and entertainment.
