Application Manager Intern

As a 501(c)(3) Nonprofit organization based in Washington, D.C., Noah Education Fund is dedicated to meeting students’ educational needs. We promote the creativity and advancement of student writers, and offer grants to struggling students. Our mission is to foster a community of trust among writers, provide the necessary resources to help better their skills, and create an appreciation of writing and education.

Our sister website, Noahwriting.com, is our platform for people to publish their work and meet other writers. We are looking for passionate and self-driven candidates who have an interest in growing a startup, and are willing to wear many hats within the organization.

This is a remote, unpaid internship, but there are opportunities to earn awards that come with a monetary prize.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage web application on Noahwriting.com and NoahEducationFund.org

  • Leave feedback including praise, constructive criticism, and encouragement on writing posts

  • Report web application issues to the Director

  • Monitor new posts for inappropriate content

  • Assist with researching, writing, and editing content as needed

  • Participate in web application redesign and promotion projects

Requirements:

  • Able to work independently with little supervision

  • Strong time management skills

  • Respond to emails in a timely manner (within 48 hours)

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Able to work about 5 hours a week
