Chefsville is a great company to work for. All kinds of projects and business development happening. This opportunity is for a part-time instructor specifically with cooking and food-art. Great for college students and those wanting to enjoy their work and show their passion.

Job Locations:

  • Carrollton, Coppell, The Colony, and Wylie TX and nearby areas.

Times:Chefsville will work with flexible scheduled candidates.Our programs range from the times below.

  • Basic times: 8am - noon or (school programming)
  • 1:30-4pm or (afterschool programs)
  • 2:30 - 5pm or (afterschool programs)
  • 5 - 8pm (evening programs)

If you are an afternoon person, then steady hours come from after-school enrichment programming working with kids, tweens and teens from 1:30pm - 5pm.

There are some programs during the weekend. Chefsville goes the extra mile to build a job around the candidate's available hours.

This contract work is for school programs - home, public and private schools.

Candidate will be trained and will assist in planning, gathering equipment needed, light shopping as needed, and deliver instruction to PreK thru middle school ages around cooking, art and life skill education. Informal focus will be on common sense, problem-solving and critical thinking skills.

Candidates will coordinate and may even write educational content for students PreK-12.

Duties include planning, acquisition, preparation of materials and supplies needed programs. Training provided for this fun opportunity.

Qualifications: High school diploma plus either relevant work experience. Candidates must have completed a high-school. Some college preferred. Degreed program will be considered. Candidate needs to enjoy cooking and have some interest in educating kids about food and health.

Candidates must want to work with children ages 4 and up, 6 months of equivalent study/experience. Other experience with summer camp and volunteering with kids counts as experience.

Requirements:

  • Good oral and written communication skills,
  • Organizational skills,
  • Multi-tasking,
  • Some cooking background a plus,
  • Reliable transportation,
  • Candidates must be able to pass a criminal background check in order to work with children,
  • Common sense with business,
  • Good with critical thinking and problem solving,
  • Candidate must be willing to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement and be able to come to at least two activities in which to volunteer for skills assessment

Other skills: Computer literacy required. People skills required. Microsoft Office products preferred. Candidate must have access to computer, internet and printer. Job duties involve occasional use of technology. Cooking basics needed. Also reliable transportation is a must.

  • Informal Teaching and/or: 1 year

Required license or certification:

  • Must be able to pass a background check as this is working with kids
  • Must be able to pass a drug test as this is working with kids
  • Must be able to afford be fingerprinted which is about $40 (reimbursable)
  • Driver's License
