  • A group opportunity. Invite your friends.

We urgently need people who can volunteer at our tabling events at Sonoma State University, College of Marin, and other locations. Tabling will occur Monday-Friday, and the days to which we table will depend on how many volunteers we can get. If you are interested, please contact us right away and e-mail us your schedule of days and times during the week.

This is also an opportunity to make lateral transfers to our other departments if you're interested in volunteering in specialized areas. We will also be looking to find people that we can promote to being Volunteer Coordinators, and we will promote from General Volunteers. Time frames for tabling typically run within the time frame of 10:00AM-4:00PM, usually only two to three hours within this frame, and Thursdays typically are the busiest on college campuses, so Thursday availabilities are great.

We will be happy to write good references for good volunteers, and tailor our other opportunities around your professional goals. This is a chance to gain good experience for a good cause (especially in volunteer coordination, public outreach, and communications), and volunteering always looks good on your résumé or curriculum vitae regardless of your field. Please feel free to express any questions or concerns, and please check out our website and social media accounts. We'll bring doughnuts and bottled water for volunteers, and we typically have fun tabling (at least on campuses).

If you are only available on weekends, then you may be able to work with a weekend tabling team at non-academic venues.

We hope to do at least one tabling event this week, so please reply quickly if you want to be included. If you live significantly out of the area, and have a group of people you'd like to table with in your local area to help spread the word of our cause, please let us know.

Mission Statement

Our mission is to perpetuate a more enlightened universal ethos, paradigm, and culture for people to lead by, in order to develop a common frame of mind that is more conscientious of global issues. Our mission is accomplished through the free distribution of media that exposes the public to the Tellus Nova Foundation’s philosophy and mission. Such media may include: books, pamphlets, booklets, brochures, flyers, leaflets, articles, documentaries, videos, lectures, music, broadcasts, movies, novels, novellas, short stories, and so forth. We use media that educates the public on global issues, such as biospheric collapse, economic instability, and cultural decay. We will use media that promotes: individuality and individual identity, reason, critical thinking, introspection and self-improvement, open-mindedness, meditation, empathy, self-sufficiency, and emotional, intellectual, and spiritual maturity.

Description

The Tellus Nova Foundation (TNF) was founded in the Autumn of 2016 originally with the intention to one day serve as an inter-governmental organization that would use a network of other non-profits as well as for-profit businesses in order to apply its combined resources towards the betterment of humanity, animals, and ecosystems, by generating a cultural movement focused on achieving a paradigm shift intended to overcome the global crises we are currently facing. The intention was to couple this with major infrastructural advancements and international economic development to form a holistic approach towards alleviating and preventing the furtherance of ecological devastation, war, cruelty, and other unenlightened behaviors.

In 2018, it was decided that the TNF would narrow its focus to the hosting of discussion groups and the free distribution of media intended to foster a more conscious paradigm of thought and behavior, with the notion that no society (or world) can be better than the people who compose it. With this in mind, the TNF continues today to educate the public on global issues and on the type of thinking and behavior we need to solve the issues, and prevent them from repeating. By examining the underlying attitudes of the people who directly cause or are complacent to the issues, the TNF works to eliminate the cause of the problems rather than to simply focus on the symptoms.
