Be the champion for volunteers. Ensure that volunteers have great experiences fulfilling the mission of the Center for the Arts. Coordinate opportunities for volunteers work to advance the mission. Build a collaborative relationship with staff members to create volunteer opportunities and execute them successfully. Recognize volunteers for their contribution.
Recruit, screen, orient and place volunteers. Be the main point of contact volunteer questions. Communicate with volunteers regarding volunteer opportunities. Create and maintain a recognition system. Track volunteers hours and activity. Collaborate with other staff to determine opportunities for volunteer involvement.
Skills and Abilities:
Strong written and oral communications skills. Strong customer service skills. Computer skills to include using social media, e-mail and microsoft office programs. Must be outgoing and ability to relate with people from all sectors of life. Ability to interview people for their skills and abilities. Prioritize your work and work independently. Answer phones and utilize routine office equipment. Be able work with and/or supervise a team of volunteers.
10 hrs per week
Expected to participate in community events to determine how volunteers have been utilized.
