ORGANIZATION: Friends of the Wells Branch Library

Storytime

The library offers a variety of monthly events for kids and families to enjoy together, and we need a dedicated volunteer to help us make these events happen! As a volunteer, you would help us set up, clean up, take photos of the event, manage crowd flow and occasionally assist with basic children's crafts. These events generally take place on Saturday mornings, as well as an occasional weekday evening. We are looking for someone who loves working with young kids and families, and who can commit to attending most, if not all, of the scheduled events through at least December. Position will require an interview prior to beginning service.

Our current event dates are as follows:

Saturday, Sept. 9 from 9:30-11:00am: Shadow Puppet Show

Tuesday, Sept. 12 from 6:00-7:30pm: Honeybee Science Show with Kim Lehman

Friday, October 13 from 6:00-9:00pm: Planetarium Science Shows

Saturday, October 21 from 9:30-11:00am: Austin Zoo Animal Olympics

Saturday, December 2 from 5:00-8:30pm: Annual Polar Express Pajamarama Event
