Allegro Foundation needs 5 volunteers to help us prepare goody bags for an upcoming event.
- No need to worry about the weather, as you'll be comfortable in our office
- We have everything you will need to fill the bags ready for you
The help of our volunteers is so tremendously appreciated! Events help ensure that students with disabilities can continue to receive movement education classes FREE of charge.
Any amount of time you can give is wonderful!

Mission Statement
Allegro Foundation... a Champion for Children with Disabilities is a nonprofit 501(c) 3 organization that combines movement instruction with medical and educational expertise, creating new techniques to teach children with disabilities and enhance their quality of life. Allegro teaches more than 700 children with intellectual disabilities, Down syndrome, orthopedic challenges (wheelchairs and walkers), Spina bifida, cerebral palsy, learning disabilities, muscular dystrophy, visual and hearing impairments, children "at-risk", and children with cancer in FREE classes every week!
Description
The teaching assistant will be working one on one with a child with a disability or a child "at risk". Classes are held once a week throughout Charlotte and are thirty minutes long. A volunteer will assist a child with a disability by steadying them if they appear to be unstable, demonstrating techniques they are not familiar with, and most importantly, being a friend.
