Tutor the future of our city!

Volunteer tutors are needed to work with the remarkable community at Manhattan Comprehensive Night and Day High School (MCNDHS)!

MCNDHS is a public school whose students are between 17 and 21 years old, many of whom are recent immigrants and all of whom are working toward their NY State HS Regents diploma.

Tutors are needed for all subjects, including:

  • English (all levels, from basic conversation to advanced grammar/writing)
  • Math (all levels, especially Algebra)
  • Science (especially Biology and Earth Science)
  • History (Global and U.S.)
Tutors are needed Monday through Friday, from 10am to 8pm.

Comprehensive Development, Inc. partners with NYC public high schools to prepare young adults, ages 14 - 24, to secure a successful future for themselves and their families. Through this partnership, our students develop the capability to graduate from high school and make informed decisions on higher educations and careers.
CDI's three partner schools include: Manhattan Comprehensive Night & Day High School, The High School for Health Professions and Human Services and City-As-School High School. In 2014 we began the CDI Career Academy at the Borough of Manhattan Community College to provide post-secondary opportunities to its students and alumni.
