Friends of Corlears Hook Park

All the leaves are brown and by this time of year are also on the ground. Join Friends of Corlears Hook Park and work off some of that large turkey meal at our annual post-Thanksgiving leaf-raking event. Come help us clean the park by raking and bagging leaves that will then be sent to the Lower East Side Ecology Center for composting.

Volunteers of all ages are welcome and encouraged to attend and help out. School groups and those seeking to fulfil community service requirements are also welcome to join us. No experience is needed - we will show what to do. We'll provide gloves, shovels, rakes, snacks and water - all we need is your smiling face and helpful hands (even if you only have 20 minutes to help out).

Corlears Hook Park (also known as Jackson Park) is located on Manhattan's Lower East Side just south of the Williamsburg Bridge at the corner of Jackson and Cherry Streets. You can reach us by the J, F and M trains and the M21, M22 and M14A busses.
