Serve meals to Minnesotans living with HIV. Our kitchen in South Minneapolis serves 10 hot meals, made from scratch, each week: lunch Monday-Friday (11:30 am-2:30 pm), dinner Monday-Thursday (4:30 pm -7:30 pm), and brunch on Saturday (10:30 am- 1:30 pm). You can volunteer weekly, every-other week, or as an occasional fill-in volunteer.
Cooking skills not required, but are helpful. Volunteers primarily greet members, serve food, wipe down the tables, and help with dishes. Another bonus is that we feed you! Volunteers are an important part of the community and therefore fully invited to eat with the community.
Thanks for your interest! For more info about Aliveness, please see www.aliveness.org
