National Offender Reentry Association(NORA) understands that not only are there victims that will not be able to afford the cost of recovering from this catastrophic event, there will be many more that won't even qualify for assistance. What about those that already living with others, or those returning from prison looking for shelter and work already, Or the homeless, the single father living out of his car, all we are saying is that not everyone will receive the assistance that is needed due to certain restrictions put in place to prevent fraud, we understand that too but NORA would like to assist those that may be turned away due to those restrictions , we want to ensure that everyone has the chance to recover from this and live a more productive and positive life thereafter. But without the assistance of others, we know that this is not at all possible. We are planning on leaving Memphis, Sept 15, 2017@7am to assist Texas in its recovery from the wrath of Harvey with donation in hand as well as volunteers and workers willing to help them scramble through whats left and salvage what they can, but more so to assist them in the first steps in moving forward. Little simple things like having available transportation to take care of business after the fact; is going to be critical. WE will be available to assist in whatever way we can, weather it be food, clothing, home repair, transportation, or looking for a new home. We will be there for 90 days to provide whatever services we can. So this is why we need you to join us in our efforts with any donations you see fit... Personal hygiene items, clothes of any kind, can food, water, house cleaning supplies , home furniture, food and clothing gift card, school clothes and supplies, computers (college students) and cash, all donations are tax deductible under section 501(c)3.
Thank you in advance for joining our efforts.
