Discovery Place Science is pleased to bring the featured exhibition Da Vinci's Machines to Charlotte.

The codices and drawings of 15th century Renaissance Man Leonardo Da Vinci come to life through interactions, inventions, and iconic artwork. Over 500 years ago, Leonardo da Vinci conceived possibilities far beyond the understanding of others. His ideas about nature, anatomy, mechanics and flight, and recorded manuscripts reveal a man of extraordinary vision.

Da Vinci's Machines brings the innovations of Leonardo da Vinci to life, featuring over 75 exhibits reconstructed from illustrations and writings by the mastermind. Encounter and test his amazing machines, see his magnificent artwork, and reflect on the genius that was Leonardo da Vinci.

Volunteers are needed to serve as Exhibition Hosts from opening on November 4, 2017 to May 6, 2018. Exhibition Hosts will work inside the exhibition engaging with our guests and watching over critical pieces. Training will be provided prior to the opening.

There will be two shifts Monday through Saturday (9:00am to 1:00pm and 1:00pm to 4:00pm) and one shift on Sunday (12:00pm to 5:00pm). Volunteers will be asked to work two shifts per week.
