Talk Time programs provide immigrants and refugees the opportunity to practice conversational English in an informal environment. Volunteers help lead fun, small-group discussions on various topics and work with English for Speakers of Other Language (ESOL) adults of all skill levels. Talk Time sessions are held at the Beacon Hill, Central, Lake City, and Fremont branches of the Seattle Public Library. Good verbal communication and interpersonal skills in a diverse environment are desired. Develop cross-cultural friendships and learn new skills while making a difference in your community! Experience working with adult immigrants and/or refugees is a plus, but not required. Literacy Source is an Equal Opportunity Employer working towards a culturally-diverse work place. People of color and bilingual/ multilingual individuals are encouraged to apply.
