From September to November, we collect prairie seeds to restore new areas of campus and the UWW nature preserve. There is no experience required for this activity, you can just meet us at the UWW Nature Preserve in good walking shoes and we will teach you what to do from there!
Our fall semester volunteer times are as follows:
Mondays & Wednesdays 3-5 pm
Fridays 10 am-12 pm

Description
The UW-Whitewater Sustainability Office engages in a number of volunteer programs intended to expose students to taking direct action to improve the local environment and learn sustainable living skills that can be useful in the future. Recurring volunteer activities include campus garden, prairie seed collection, stream monitoring and cleanup, and community cleanup events.
