Park Center is currently looking for someone to teach knitting/crocheting. The volunteer needs to be someone who is dedicated, energetic, compassionate and feels comfortable working with a population of individuals with a diagnosed mental illness. Additionally, the volunteer must be someone who is extremely patient, as the members of our knitting group have varying levels of experience.
Member program hours are Monday-Friday, 9:00-1:30. As far as commitment is concerned, we would like for there to be consistency in your volunteer schedule -- same day or days each week, same time -- because our members (the individuals who attend our day program) need consistency.

Each month, Park Center serves hundreds of adults with mental illness in employment training and placement, treatment, case management, housing and other support services.
