Boiler Up on October 14th and experience the beauty of Purdue University at the 6th Annual Purdue Boilermaker Half-Marathon & 5k, benefiting the Purdue Athletes Life Success Program!
It takes many dependable volunteers to make the Purdue Boilermaker Half-Marathon & 5k fun, safe and successful. Please browse through the volunteer opportunities below.
- Saturday Set-Up Crew
Saturday, October 14th, 6:00am - 8:00am, Ross-Ade Stadium
Volunteers will assist in the set-up of the course, start area and finish area.
Some Lifting may be required. - Volunteer Headquarters
Saturday, October 14th, 5:00am - 12:00pm, Ross-Ade Stadium
Volunteers will assist in the assignment and organization of all event volunteers as well as serve as a question and answer location for spectators, volunteers and participants. Volunteer refreshments will also be served from this location. - Race Day Packet Pick-Up
Saturday, October 14th, 5:30am - 8:30am, Ross-Ade Stadium
Packet Pick-Up volunteers will pass out participant’s bibs, shirts, etc. as well as other light duties as assigned. - Gear Check
Saturday, October 14th, 6:00am - 12:00pm, Ross-Ade Stadium
Volunteers will organize and monitor participants gear throughout the duration of the race and assist them in picking up their materials once finished. - Start Line
Saturday, October 14th, 6:30am - 8:30am, Ross-Ade Stadium
Help with light set up of the start line and organization of participants into their starting positions. - Finish Line
Saturday, October 14th, 7:30am - 11:30am, Ross-Ade Stadium
Finish line volunteers can help in many different areas including, timing tag removal, refreshment distribution, medal distribution, and finish line assisting. - Water Stations
Saturday, October 14th, 6:30am-12:30pm, Location Varies
Volunteers will be stationed at one of many water stations along the course, handing out refreshments to participants as they pass by. Water stations are to be managed ONLY by groups of 8 or more. - Course Management
Saturday, October 14th, 6:30am-12:30pm, Location Varies
Volunteers will be placed along the course to monitor and provide directional assistance to participants. - Put me anywhere Volunteer!
Saturday, October 14th, Time & Location Varies
