The 2018 hurricane season has been extraordinarily active in parts of the U.S., with Hurricane Florence currently impacting millions in the Carolinas. As this natural disaster unfolds, the staff here at VolunteerMatch is doing its part to ensure that, if you are in an affected community, you are prepared and safe. And if you are looking to help with disaster relief efforts, you know about the most effective ways to contribute.
Grace hospice serves patients in their homes and in nursing homes. We currently have several patients in nursing homes in the Anderson Twp area who are seeking people to visit with them. Volunteering only requires a commitment of 1 hour per week, any day of the week that you have time to spare. You can change a person's life for the better with your visits. We are seeking Volunteers who are able to read scripture, talk to our patients and listen to them. If you have any other skills that you would like to share (playing an instrument, singing, drawing, crocheting, etc) they are welcome too! All training is provided and Grace pays for background and UA/TB testing. Training dates/times can be arranged around your schedule. For more information email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 513-458-5545. We need you to help make the world a better place for our patients and their families. There is nothing else like being a Hospice Volunteer.
