What is Fall Frolic?

Celebrate fall every weekend in October with the Fall Frolic on the Anne Springs Close Greenway, featuring a myriad of fall festival fun from horse rides and hay bale mazes to the four-acre corn maze and pumpkin patch. Returning for its sixth year, the festival’s most popular activities will be back in action, including farm animals, pedal carts, rubber duck races, kayaking and more.

Fall Frolic on the Greenway runs Saturdays and Sundays, September 30 - October 29. Pricing is $10 per person for Greenway members and $12 for non-members. Seniors (60 and older) are $6 and kids four and under get in free. Groups of 15 or more receive a group rate of $9 per person. Horse rides are available on Saturday 11a-3p and Sunday 1-4p. Major credit cards and cash will be accepted at the gate. Food and beverage vendors will also be on hand selling a variety of fall favorites, including barbeque, hotdogs, funnel cakes, cotton candy and more.

Qualifications: Fall Frolic volunteers must be willing to work outdoors and with children in a public setting.

Mission Statement

To provide stewardship and protect the cultural, ecological and scenic features of the land, while offering recreational and educational opportunities that promote the health and wellness of the community.

Description

Leroy Springs & Company has been providing recreational and educational opportunities to the communities surrounding Springs Industries facilities for over 60 years. In 1995, the Anne Springs Close Greenway, a 2,100 acre nature preserve in Fort Mill, South Carolina, was dedicated to the public to serve as a natural buffer from urban development and a place for countless activities - from hiking, mountain biking and horseback riding, to picnics, kayaking and more.

The land was donated by the children of Anne Springs Close to honor her lifelong commitment to recreation and the environment. The Greenway is a not-for-profit entity which receives no ongoing tax dollars to build, maintain or operate its programs, trails and facilities. Owned and managed by Leroy Springs & Company, the Greenway is funded in part by memberships, program fees and generous donations from individuals and corporations.
