Junior Achievement of NW Florida

Junior Achievement provides programs to students (K-12th) on financial literacy, entrepreneurship, and workforce preparedness skills. We do this through volunteers within the community that have a passion to share this knowledge with our youth. The programs are approximately one hour a week for 5-12 weeks. The volunteer is matched with a school that fits their schedule. The teacher is able to give their students a community role model and invaluable lesson through the partnership with the volunteer. Are you inspired to make a difference in the lives of our local youth? Reach out to Education Manager, Ashlee Simpson Ashlee.Simpson@ja.org for more information.

About Junior Achievement of NW Florida

Location:

6677 North Davis Hwy, Pensacola, FL 32504, US

Mission Statement

To inspire and prepare young people to succeed in a global economy.

Description

Junior Achievement of Northwest Florida partners with business people who volunteer their time in our local schools. Using a nationally-developed curriculum and hands-on experience, they help young people understand the economics of life.

Junior Achievement programs help prepare young people for the real world by showing them how to generate wealth and effectively manage it, how to create jobs which make their communities more robust, and how to apply entrepreneurial thinking to the workplace. Students put these lessons into action and learn the value of contributing to their communities.
