Two classes available. Teach JA Our Families and JA Our City to students. It is a one hour commitment every other week for 5 sessions.
JA Our Families is geared towards first grade. It explains how family members' jobs and businesses contribute to the well-being of the family and of the community.
JA Our City is geared towards third grade. It introduces students to financial literacy and learning objectives for third-grade social studies, including the characteristics of cities, the importance of economic exchange, and how people and businesses in cities manage their money.
Junior Achievement programs are grade level specific and incorporate the areas of financial literacy, entrepreneurship, and work readiness.
No teaching experience is required to teach a JA program! Our staff will provide training and will give you a classroom kit complete with all program materials needed to teach the lessons, including a guidebook.

Mission Statement
Junior Achievement inspires and prepares young people to succeed in a global economy.
Description
Junior Achievement is the world's largest organization dedicated to educating students about workforce readiness, entrepreneurship and financial literacy through experiential, hands-on programs.
Our volunteer-delivered, kindergarten-12 th grade programs foster work-readiness, entrepreneurship and financial literacy skills, and use experiential learning to inspire students to dream big and reach their potential.
JA's unique approach allows volunteers from the community to deliver our curriculum while sharing their experiences with students.
Through an innovative partnership between the business community, educators and volunteers, Junior Achievement helps young people connect with relevant learning and the importance of staying in school. JA students develop the skills they need to experience the realities and opportunities of work and entrepreneurship in the 21 st-century global marketplace.
Junior Achievement of North Florida is one of 115 JA Areas in the United States. JA of North Florida has been in operation since 1963 and serves youth in Duval, St. Johns, Clay and surrounding counties.
