Volunteers are an indispensable part of our programs and support us in our mission to heighten awareness, deepen understanding, and increase appreciation for living in and caring for our natural world. We are looking for individuals with experience in , or an interest for , teaching and working with kids of all ages, to assist us in our daily programs at the center. Our daily programs include education on native animals, arthropods, and ecosystems, as well as Native American studies.

Volunteers may undertake many different tasks at the center such as general animal care (assisting with exercise, feeding, etc.), maintaining hygienic and attractive habitats in the animal exhibits, sustaining the cleanliness of the center, preparing and setting up materials, and working directly with staff to implement education programs.

We take experience and personal preference into account when assigning tasks to new volunteers. At the Nature Center, you will find a welcoming and nourishing environment ready to receive your contributions and help you expand your skills and knowledge.
