The All Stars Project (ASP) is a nationally-recognized, independently funded non-profit that was founded 36 years ago. Our mission is to transform the lives of youth and poor communities, using the developmental power of performance in partnership with caring adults. The San Francisco office runs two programs that focus on youth from across the Bay Area. The All Stars Talent Show Network (ASTSN) provides young people with an opportunity to produce and perform in hip-hop talent shows in their neighborhoods. The Development School for Youth (DSY) is a leadership training program in which young people learn to perform as professionals, and they partner with business leaders who conduct workshops and provide paid summer internships. We are currently looking for volunteers to assist with in-office work, event production, conducting research, support with community outreach and the DSY, and assisting with other projects that arise. This is a wonderful opportunity for someone who is passionate about providing opportunities for growth and personal development for our inner-city youth. Hours are ongoing, varied, and flexible.
