The Friends of Schumacher Farm Park is a non-profit organization that organizes community events to support the mission of education, preservation and conservation at the park. The Friends would like volunteers to serve on committees related to event planning, graphic design or advertising, and finance. They are also looking to fill a vacancy on its 9-member Board. Schumacher Farm Park is one of the Dane County Parks and is located just outside of Waunakee, WI.

We have a two part mission: To preserve old-time rural lifeways of Dane County through education and preservation. To maintain a conservancy for nature study and recreational activities.
Description
Schumacher Farm is a county park, nature conservancy and open air farm museum. The property, buildings, and activities represent the landscape and agricultural lifeways of the Town of Westport and rural Dane County during the 1920s-30s. It is significant for its portrayal of cultural characteristics and an early way of life that no longer exist in Westport.
