Preferred Hospice is in needed of volunteers to provide companionship and emotional support to patients receiving end of life care. Volunteers are an essential part of the patient care team. Volunteers provide comfort and support to patients who might not have it otherwise. Volunteers develop a relationship with patients and provide activities such as reading, playing games, and sometimes just holding their hand so they can rest peacefully. If you are interested in becoming part of the Preferred Hospice family, please contact us so we can discuss our opportunities. We have several volunteer opportunities in the area and we can work with your needs. We look forward to hearing from you! We provide training and mileage reimbursement. We are desperately in need of volunteers who are willing to drive out to the Stone and --Taney County areas. Please call Christie Brown or Pam Workman at 417-581-4968.
