Need people to set up 5K Race

We are a new charity trying to still get going. My wife and I moved here from up north so we do not have any friends or family to help network. An event we would like to hold is a 5K race as we feel it would be great for us and the exposure and the community to see what this charity is and who it will help. However, we met with some people who told us the in's and out's of setting up a 5K and we understand it is a long process and tedious.

We are looking for 1 person, or multiple people, that can help organize one from start to finish within the county. We can help facilitate sponsors both business and a racing club sponsor if needed. But the steps within the county and registration process, etc... is something we need desperate help with. Ideally, someone who has done this before would be great to find. Then of course volunteers during the actual event.
