Our volunteer opportunities are designed to assist our facility in care that we provide and our community that we serve. These services create an atmosphere of positivity and support in various areas of our hospital and with various projects. Below are just some of the areas that you may be able to volunteer:

Clothing Closet

One of our biggest projects is the Clothing Closet Program which helps us to ensure every patient has the items that they need. Because of the ongoing support of clothing donations from our staff and The Mustard Seed, and our volunteers who coordinate, sort and plan, we are able to do so.

In this project you will help with sorting, folding, washing and tracking clothing items for our patients. You may also help with taking donations to local facilities that we are unable to use to ensure all resources are utilized to the fullest within our community. You may also help in obtaining clothing items through purchasing and donating items at other locations.

Marketing and Fundraising

In this area, you will assist with planned projects and events. Each project and event will have various abilities for volunteering. This may include: making phone calls, tracking donations, helping to set up and tear down events, etc. When volunteering in this area, you may be working with the public and engaging in the event planning stages. This is a crucial role in the success of every event and projects.

Activities

In this area you will be working with our patients. You may be helping with literacy by reading to our patients, assisting with music therapy and even arts and crafts! During your time volunteering in this capacity, you will be making an impact on the programing we provide to our patients. You may even help with special events such as holiday parties.

Dietary

In this area you will be assisting our dietary staff who ensure that the meals and snacks throughout the day are prepared and fulfilled. In this capacity you may do tasks such as putting away stock, inventory counts, pulling stock, food preparation, organization and cleaning to name a few.

Administration

In this area you will be working in various areas to support various functions throughout the facility. Some of the tasks you may be asked to assist with are: answering phones, answering basic questions from visitors and staff, assist with basic accommodations such as wheelchairs, assist with creating packets and stuff envelopes for various departments, and filing paperwork.

Special Services

We are welcoming of organizations such as groups for recovery and individuals who provide direct care. If you are an organization, public speaker or have licensure and would like to volunteer your services to our patients or staff, please contact our Volunteer Program Coordinator.
