Instead of giving people food to temporarily solve the hunger issue, help Compassion Ministries grow seedlings for low income people to grow their own food! It only takes one vegetable plant, and they can save the seeds for years to come. Until now, this program has only been in Tennessee. From planting seeds, to directing a chapter program, to fundraising, we need your help!

Mission Statement
As the name implies, our focus is to demonstrate the compassion of Jesus Christ and, in effect, the Gospel through loving acts to people at their point of need.
Description
1-2 times per month, Compassion Ministries serves a community in Tennessee (usually in the Appalachian mountains) with a mobile food distribution. We work with Second Harvest of East Tennessee to deliver thousands of pounds of food to an average of 300 families at each mobile food pantry. In addition, we serve the Knoxville community with a local pantry every other Thursday. The entire ministry is run completely by wonderful volunteers. Come serve the community with us!
