Volunteers fluent in languages spoken by our refugee clients (including but not limited to Arabic, Burmese, Dari, Farsi, Pashto, Rohingya, Turkish, Urdu, Uzbek, Vietnamese) help to provide interpretation for individuals or for group sessions sponsored by LSG. Volunteer interpreters are not utilized (with few exceptions) in situations where client information must remain confidential, such as medical appointments. Programs include Resettlement and Placement, Matching Grant, Cultural Orientation, DHS Employment and Social Adjustment, and Immigration Services. Interpreter will facilitate effective communication between clients in both individual and group settings such as intake and orientation, service provider appointments, and formal meetings.
Volunteer must pass a background check. Contact email@example.com if interested.
