If you live in the Seymour, Marshfield, or Hartville area Preferred Hospice need you!!! Currently we are seeking volunteers to provide emotional support, comfort and companionship to our patients. There are several different opportunities available. Feel free to contact Pam Workman, Volunteer Coordinator at 417-581-4968. I'd love to explain our Volunteer Program to you today.

Our patients rely on the comfort that they receive from our volunteer. Sometimes just a gentle touch, kind word, or just being there to hold their hand and listen means so much.

Description

Preferred Hospice is a Missouri-based company comprised of a multidisciplinary team of Healthcare workers who specialize in end-of-life care. Among the senior team are Physician and Nurses who together bring over 50 years of Healthcare experience. We serve patients within an hour radius of our home office in Ozark Missouri.

Volunteers are essential to the Preferred Hospice Team. Direct Patient Volunteers provide companionship to patients while offering emotional support and comfort. Direct Patient Volunteers may also provide respite and assistance to patient caregivers. Office and Administrative Volunteers assist the office staff with many things from mail outs to data entry. Training, education, and mileage reimbursement is provided.
