Mission Statement
Together, we can change the world of HIV/AIDS care.
Description
We provide care -- including meals, counseling, nursing, and art/music therapy -- to individuals living with poverty, homelessness, mental illness, addictions, and complex medical needs, in addition to HIV/AIDS.
At the Dr. Peter AIDS Foundation, every day is an inspiring reminder of what we can achieve by providing HIV treatment and support for people whose lives are impacted by HIV/AIDS and additional challenges of addiction, mental illness, poverty and discrimination.
Our Day Health Program, 24-hour Residence, and Enhanced Supportive Housing at the Dr. Peter Centre improve the health of people living with HIV/AIDS who face barriers to accessing health care. Our model is built on acceptance, helping people find dignity and strength in the face of an illness which does not have a cure. We help relieve human suffering, restore health and renew hope.
HIV treatment makes possible a near normal life span; it is also known to be a key HIV prevention tool. With your support, we can save lives and stop the spread of HIV. Join Team Dr. Peter to help change the world of HIV/AIDS care.
