We are supporting the development and delivery of an online program and app "Sing and Speak 4 Kids" (SS4Kids) that uses clinically tested songs to help children with speech delays learn to speak English.
SS4Kids can also be used by young ENGLISH LEARNERS, especially children in Spanish-speaking homes, to accelerate their English language understanding and speech. To fully explore the opportunity to help this demographic with SS4Kids, research is needed in the area of edtech support for English Learners, including:
- Review of research literature on use of edtech and apps in classroom and home for language learning
- Analysis of commercial products available, cost, effectiveness/benefits, barriers, market share
- How to integrate into current curricula, systems and social media
- What are the benefits and barriers for the use of English language apps in Spanish-speaking homes
For an overview of this area, please see California State resource guide for Preschool English Learners:

See more about SS4Kids at iQsonics.com, app developer.
This is a great opportunity for students and others interested in Social Sciences, Education, Language and Early Childhood Development. We can provide recommendation letters and internship credits. Please send a short letter of interest, resume and contact info to david@iqsonics.com. Thanks!
