Description
Removing Barriers, Creating Opportunities.
The Goodwill model uses instruction, seminars, assessments of skill levels, training, and real work experience to help develop individuals who experience barriers to employment. We help people who have physical, psychological, social or development obstacles.
Our goal is to impact the lives of those who want to work but have been excluded, either voluntarily or involuntarily, from the competitive labor market. We make employable those currently unemployed or underemployed by enhancing the skills of each individual.
Our goal is to impact families by helping stabilize them, connecting them to our services and to other services available to them.
Our goal is to impact our communities by creating a ready workforce, starting new business lines, running retail stores, putting people to work and bringing our economic engine to bear in the communities we serve.
Through the donations of gently used household goods and clothing, Goodwill utilizes a workforce to process donated goods, sell donated goods through its retail stores to support our training and development programs. Goodwill also provides business-to-business services in the community that give our participants real life work to help them realize their full potential while filling a community need at competitive rates.
We help people realize and achieve their full potential through the dignity and power of work.
