ORGANIZATION: CASA of the Pikes Peak Region

SEPT is a safety-focused service that provides a neutral parenting time/exchange environment for parents and children to restore positive relationships. This helps to keep parents safe and accountable and allows children to spend time with a parent in a safe environment. 24 hrs training required, application, interview and full background check required. Volunteers may create their own schedule in the evenings or weekends via the on line calendar sign up. All programs are under one roof at our new CASA facility, 418 S. Weber ST., Colorado Springs, CO 80903. Help to facilitate change ~ witness the transformation ~ feel the joy! New class offered September 4, 2108.

Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) provide a voice in court for children who are victims of abuse, neglect or domestic conflict and promotes community awareness of these issues to ensure safe and permanant homes.

Description

Nobody longs for a safe and loving family more than a child in foster care. As a CASA volunteer, you are empowered by the courts to help make this dream a reality. You will not only bring positive change to the lives of these vulnerable children, but also their children and generations to come. And in doing so, you will enrich your life as well.
